Most of us know what clickbait is,but for you that dont know.Clickbait is content whose main purpose is to attract attention and encourage visitors to click on a link to a particular web page.In a nutshell they will do everything so you can click their links. "Get netflix for FREE" Have I goten your attention?What if I posted a link to a video of the ordeal?You might be tempted to click.Cybercriminals use this and they actually exploit it.

Social Media Attacks

Cybercriminals know that one of the biggest vulnerabilites people have is their self-image.You might recieve a message from your ex-boyfriend or someone else wich you know.And that message might be saying"lol,is this your new profile picture?".The picture has a link.You decide to click onit,beacuse what the heck,it is your ex-boyfriend!?Oh and look at that now you are infected with malware!

Phishing

Phishing is a form of social engineering that relies on fooling people into handling over money or data via email,or social media.Bad guys acomplish this by sending a generic message out to a huge mass of people.They usually claim to give you free money or free stuff in general.That message might say "You won 1 million dollars!Click here for your reward!"Sadly there are those who still fall for this :( .

Ransomware Attacks

Cybercriminals have come up with law enforcment scams that make it appear as though the U.S Department of Justice or FBI Cybercrime divison are contacting you to claim that you have done something illegall.So they say,pay up and we will make it go away.Users naturally tend to panic when faced with a message from law enforcement.

Watering Hole Attacks

Cybercriminals collects the information on the sites most visited by their target group.Then they infect the site itself with malware.For example,hackers knew that iPhone Dev SKD forum was frequently visited by Facebook,Apple and other developers.They compormised the website,set up an exploit,and ended up infecting a lot of people.
